This month, weʼre excited to share several updates to our software coming to your
dashboard with the release of Network Operating System (NOS) 10. While many of these
capabilities have been in beta since the summer, NOS 10 will automatically roll these out
to all Meter users this December. These features enhance your SD-WAN capabilities,
improve your network controls, and protect your businessʼs overall security.

Simplify multi-site connectivity with AutoVPN

Meterʼs AutoVPN creates secure tunnels across tens, hundreds, or thousands of sites in
just a few clicks. It accelerates deployments, enhances security, and improves operational
efficiency for IT and networking teams. Get automatic route propagation, built-in
encryption and authentication, and real-time monitoring and visibility, all via the Meter
Dashboard and, soon, Command.

Optimize bandwidth with rate limiting per source

Customers across coworking spaces, schools, and warehouses have all leveraged our rate limiting feature, which has been generally available since this summer. Today, we’re announcing the ability to restrict network rates per client. In addition to setting rate limits for a VLAN as a whole, you can now set limits per client on that VLAN. This powerful new capability will further ensure that all users have optimal access to network resources, prevent bandwidth overuse, and minimize strain on your ISPs to protect your network’s reliability.

Save time and enhance security with SSID scheduling

We now offer SSID scheduling for automated, efficient, and secure wireless network control. You can automatically manage network availability based on your organization’s needs, such as limiting guest access to business hours, to prevent unauthorized after-hours access. SSID scheduling provides a flexible solution for automatically managing access to your organization’s network.
